The MGM Chef Nic Gastronomusic Fest Elevates Macau's Gastronomic Scene

Macau's culinary landscape was celebrated with the second annual MGM Chef Nic Gastronomusic Fest on December 9th and 10th. This unique event, a collaboration between the prestigious MGM and renowned Chef Nic, fused exquisite cuisine with electrifying music, bringing in a crowd of about 7,000 over two days at MGM COTAI. Macau's status as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy was underscored by this event that featured a 'fork n' roll' theme, closing out the year's gastronomic festivities on a high note.

A Blend of Culinary Prowess and Musical Beats

The festival united 16 top-tier chefs from MGM and Chef Nic's teams, presenting a variety of 'one-bite fine dining' dishes across 11 international cuisines, accompanied by thrilling performances from popular artists from Mainland China and Hong Kong. This successful partnership offered attendees a taste of global flavors ranging from Korean and Southeast Asian to classic French desserts.

Diverse Culinary Delights

Both chef teams showcased their talent through versatile menus. Seven celebrity chefs, including Chef Nic, prepared trendy culinary creations while chefs from MGM presented dishes across different genres such as Cantonese, Sichuan, and Macanese-Portuguese. Notably, the Roasted Octopus and Chef Nic’s Signature Chocolate Mousse Pop were crowd favorites. Behind the scenes, the festival was powered by a dedicated team of about 100 MGM members, ensuring a memorable gastronomic affair.

Leadership Comments on the Festival’s Success

Hubert Wang, the President and COO of MGM China Holdings, expressed pride in reinforcing Macau's image as a Creative City of Gastronomy through this partnership with Chef Nic's team. Nicholas Tse, also sharing his enthusiasm, highlighted the festival's role in combining the culinary arts with musical entertainment. The event featured performances by notable acts like Tarzan, Hailey Liu, Young Cao, Dear Jane, and many more, bringing an all-encompassing sensory experience to the audience.
