Tanglewood Announces Eclectic Lineup for 2024 Popular Artists Series
Tanglewood has confirmed an exciting roster of performers for its 2024 Popular Artists series, showcasing a diverse array of musical talent at the esteemed Lenox venue. The series is set to feature an impressive mix of acts, some making their Tanglewood debut, at the renowned 5,700-seat Koussevitzky Music Shed.
Prestigious Acts Set to Perform
Joining the lineup are rock legends, celebrated solo artists, and genre-crossing musicians. Notable additions include Jon Batiste, Brandi Carlile, Jason Mraz, Roger Daltrey of The Who, and John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival, complementing previously announced acts such as Kool & the Gang and En Vogue. Other artists gracing the stage are James Taylor, the Pretenders, Judy Collins, Rufus Wainwright, Indigo Girls, and Dispatch with the Boston Pops.
Highlights of the Series
The iconic John Fogerty is set to perform on June 20, bringing classic hits along with his band Hearty Har, featuring his sons Shane and Tyler Fogerty. Roger Daltrey plans an intimate show featuring The Who's hits and rarities on June 22. Jon Batiste, a multi-Grammy Award winner and Oscar recipient, will showcase his talent on June 28. Popular artist Brandi Carlile returns on June 30, and Jason Mraz is scheduled to make his Tanglewood debut with the Boston Pops on July 2.
Tickets for these eagerly awaited concerts will be available starting March 19 at 10 a.m., marking the 86th anniversary of the festival hosted by the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
