TikTok's 'Add to Music App' Feature Expands to 19 New Countries
TikTok's innovative functionality, the 'Add to Music App' feature, is gaining momentum as it becomes available in 19 new markets, following its initial release in the USA and the UK. This feature allows TikTok enthusiasts to seamlessly save their favorite songs discovered on the platform to major streaming services like Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music, enhancing the music discovery experience.
Seamless Song Saving Across Continents
The expansion sees the 'Add to Music App' feature reaching audiences in diverse countries including Canada, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Sweden, Thailand, Malaysia, UAE, Argentina, Colombia, The Netherlands, Turkey, South Africa, Vietnam, and the Philippines. It's important to note that Amazon Music is not available in several of these countries.
User-Friendly Integration
Using the feature is straightforward: a 'Add Song' button appears next to the title of a track playing in a TikTok video, letting users add the song to a playlist in their preferred music streaming service, whether it's a new playlist or an existing one. The integration extends to artists' Sound Detail Pages, making it easy to support favorite musicians.
TikTok's Music-Driven Initiatives
Beyond this feature, TikTok has also been enhancing their platform for artists with the introduction of 'Artist Accounts' equipped with tools like the 'Music Tab' and 'New Release' tool to foster closer artist-fan connections. The company's Global Head of Music Business Development, Ole Obermann, highlights the positive response and the role of TikTok in music discovery and the success of emerging tracks.
TikTok's efforts, as remarked by Distribution Partnerships' Lindsey Kelt, are focused on simplifying the music discovery process for users and artists alike, with this feature being a significant step in that direction.
