Award-winning Organist Joshua Stafford to Showcase Talent in Eureka

Internationally recognized organist Joshua Stafford is scheduled to deliver an exceptional musical performance at Christ Episcopal Church in Eureka on the 12th of January at 7:00 p.m. Known for his precise technique and mature musical expression, Stafford has earned accolades, such as winning the prestigious Pierre S. du Pont First Prize at the Longwood Gardens International Organ Competition in 2016.

Stafford's remarkable performances are not limited to competitions. His skills have been welcomed at iconic venues including the Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia, Ocean Grove Auditorium in New Jersey, and internationally through broadcasts such as Minnesota Public Radio’s “Pipedreams” and WRTI’s “Wanamaker Organ Hour.”

Stafford's Educational and Professional Journey

A graduate of esteemed institutions, Stafford completed his education at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Yale School of Music where he developed his performance and improvisation abilities under the guidance of renowned mentors. His talents secured him positions as minister of music and director of sacred music at notable churches across the United States.

The Upcoming Eureka Concert

Attendees of the upcoming concert can look forward to a carefully curated program that includes classical masterpieces by J.S. Bach, Cesar Franck, and Edwin H. Lemare, as well as an innovative transcription by Stafford of Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8. The event will culminate magnificently with Liszt’s Fantasy and Fugue. Beyond the auditory experience, concertgoers will have the opportunity to meet the artist at a post-concert reception.
