BottleRock Presents New Latin Music Extravaganza, Festival La Onda, in Napa

Published November 29, 2023

The team behind BottleRock Napa Valley is bringing a new musical experience focused on Latin genres to the fans in 2024. The inaugural Festival La Onda, a Latin music festival, will occur just one week after BottleRock at the same venue.

Scheduled for June 1-2 at the downtown Napa Valley Expo, Festival La Onda aims to be a yearly event featuring a lineup of Latin music from various genres. This festival will be the first of its kind in Northern California, catering exclusively to a broad spectrum of Latin music styles.

Festival La Onda, which means "The Wave" in English, reflects something cool and happening. It's set to follow the success of similar events like Besame Mucho in Los Angeles and SueƱos in Chicago, filling a gap for the Latin music community in Northern California.

Latitude 38 Entertainment, the creators of BottleRock, are the architects behind Festival La Onda. One of their partners, Dave Graham, expressed excitement about offering Northern California's Latin music fans their very own festival.

Latin music enjoys immense popularity, evidenced by the success of artists like Bad Bunny, J Balvin, and Karol G, who have taken the world by storm. Performances by Latin artists consistently attract large crowds and have propelled artists like Bad Bunny to become top-grossing touring acts and the most-streamed artists on platforms such as Spotify.

The lineup for the festival will be publicized on December 4 at 8 a.m., anticipating a wide array of Latin music genres. Besides music, the festival promises an experience reminiscent of the upscale atmosphere associated with BottleRock, including DJ sets, cultural festivities, specialty food and beverages, and more.

According to Latitude 38 Entertainment partner Justin Dragoo, attendees can look forward to a premium experience that BottleRock is famous for. The utilization of BottleRock's existing infrastructure post its event will contribute to delivering a unique festival experience during Festival La Onda.

Like Coachella and Stagecoach sharing infrastructure, La Onda will benefit from using same stages and facilities as BottleRock, helping save considerable resources. However, La Onda will have fewer stages than BottleRock.

Tickets for Festival La Onda go on sale December 8 at 10 a.m. Additional ticketing information will be announced shortly. The enthusiasm for Latin music festivals is high, with events like Los Angeles' Besame Mucho and Napa's Sabor + Ritmo Latin Music festival witnessing strong attendance.

Since its inception in 2013, BottleRock has been a sell-out success, featuring various star-studded acts and attracting crowds of 120,000 over three days. With the addition of Festival La Onda, music lovers can now revel in a new celebration of Latin music heritage in Napa Valley.
