TWS Debuts with 'Sparkling Blue' Aiming to Share Joy Through Music

The newly-formed boy band TWS has entered the K-pop scene with a splash, launching their first EP titled Sparkling Blue. At their Monday debut press conference in Seoul, the six-member group from Pledis Entertainment expressed their arduous journey to fulfill their dream of becoming K-pop idols. With the backing of the same agency that introduced the widely successful group Seventeen, TWS marks the first boy group debut by Pledis in almost a decade, bringing fresh energy and music to the industry.

TWS's Musical Message and Debut Album

The group's debut album offers five singles, featuring the lead track "Plot Twist" and a side track named "Oh Mymy: 7s." Member Youngjae described the main single as a portrayal of the nervousness that comes with new encounters, and a message of hope to overcome challenges in unison with their fans. The associated music video illustrates the members navigating their first day at a new school. TWS's performances are designed to captivate, with dynamic dances and an energetic vibe that matches their hopeful lyrics.

Pledging Positive Energy and Catchy Tunes

TWS doesn't just aim to impress with their choreography; they want their music to uplift. "We hope to present music that anyone can easily tune into anywhere, anytime. We want to spread positive energy with songs that have lots of catchy components," said Kyungmin. Shedding light on their intense preparation, the band narrated their emotional journey, from the tears of joy upon passing the final evaluation to performing in front of Hybe chairman Bang Si-hyuk, who praised their dedication.
