The renowned French electronic group AIR has announced a significant addition to their UK tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their seminal album 'Moon Safari'. Fans will be delighted to learn that an outdoor show at Halifax's historic Piece Hall is now on their tour itinerary. This special performance is scheduled for June 26th, promising to be a memorable experience for concert-goers.

Hailed as groundbreaking upon its release in 1998, 'Moon Safari' propelled band members Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel to international stardom. Its harmonious blend of downtempo rhythms and French pop influences, featuring popular tracks such as 'Sexy Boy', 'All I Need', and 'La Femme d'Argent', has left a lasting impact on the music industry.

The Piece Hall show is a highlight of the TX Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall 2024 series, taking place from June 7 to August 24. AIR will join a roster of esteemed acts that include Grace Jones, Fatboy Slim, and many others. Nicky Chance-Thompson MBE DL, CEO of The Piece Hall Trust, expressed excitement about the upcoming event, noting 'Moon Safari’s' deep connection to listeners and anticipating an evocative live performance.

Ticket sales for this much-anticipated show will commence on February 16 at 9am GMT. The tour also features concerts across the UK and Europe, with AIR performing 'Moon Safari' in its entirety, a concert series that starts in Geneva on February 24 and concludes with a performance at Medastadt Open Air in Austria on July 23.

In addition to the Piece Hall, London audiences can look forward to three shows, including one at the London Coliseum and two consecutive nights at the Royal Albert Hall. Furthermore, in recognition of 'Moon Safari’s' silver jubilee, AIR has released a special 25th-anniversary vinyl edition. Their last studio album, 'Le Voyage Dans La Lune', was released in 2012.
