Boulder's music scene is buzzing with anticipation as celebrated indie band Yo La Tengo gears up to perform from their latest 2023 album 'This Stupid World'. Their show is slated for 8 p.m. Friday night at the Boulder Theater. Meanwhile, choral aficionados can revel in Cantibile's concert featuring both classic and new pieces at 7:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church. The local soulful folkie band Sturtz, paired with Natalie Spears, are also lined up to delight audiences at the Chautauqua Community House at the same time.

Weekend Vibrations

The weekend continues the musical journey with MarchFourth!, a grandiose band known for their funky brass beats, set to take the stage at Boulder Theater on Sunday night. In a special Boulder collaboration, The High Hawks – composed of musicians from acclaimed bands like Leftover Salmon and Railroad Earth – are performing with opening act Peter Muller at eTown Hall on Saturday evening.

Cultural Acts

Adding to the entertainment offerings, the dramedy '17th and Spruce', which explores the life of a Jewish girl turned inmate, will hit the stage at the Dairy Arts Center on Saturday. Looking ahead to Wednesday, the Dairy Arts Center will also host 'How to Remain a Humanist After a Massacre in 17 Steps', a poignant Israeli play followed by an insightful panel discussion.

Bonus Entertainment

In the realm of free events, the silent slapstick genius of Buster Keaton’s 'The General' is being screened at Longmont Public Media on Friday. Youngsters can tap into their creative spirit with the Teen Craft and Create Club at the Longmont Museum on Wednesday, where they can explore various art forms.
