Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band to Deliver a Melodic 'Evening of Love and Jazz'

The Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band is gearing up to host a melodious evening dubbed 'At Last: An Evening of Love and Jazz.' This free concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 26th, taking place at the Gardiner W. Spring Auditorium, situated within the Chaffey High School premises at 1245 N. Euclid Ave., in Ontario.

Free Concert with Special Pre-event Performance

Audiences are welcome to enjoy the concert without any admission charge. Before the main event, the Woodwind Celebration Ensemble aims to delight early arrivals with a performance at 7 p.m. in the auditorium's lobby where attendees can relish complimentary coffee and cookies.

Featuring Prominent Guest Artists

The evening will not only showcase the Show Band’s talents but also feature celebrated guests such as Dan Friberg, Skip Cain, and Reed Gratz. Gratz, an esteemed retired professor, will have two of his works, 'Erin's Eyes' and 'George,' performed during the concert. Friberg, a well-versed musician, is set to present the captivating tune 'Corcovado' while Cain makes his debut with the band, performing classics like 'I've Got You Under My Skin.'

Spotlight on Band Soloists

The concert will also highlight individual brilliance from the Band members. Audiences can look forward to solo performances covering a range of genres, from Joplin's ragtime to the timeless sounds of Duke Ellington, ensuring a night filled with diverse musical flavor.

Adding to the ambiance will be Michael and Lynne Kennedy, who will provide narration to guide the audience through the program. Under the direction of Gabe Petrocelli, the Ontario Chaffey Community Show Band continues its tradition of bringing community-centric music to Southern California since its inception in 1985.
