Unplugged for Tennessee: Benefit Concert with Top Artists Including HARDY and Chayce Beckham

Published December 15, 2023

In the wake of the devastating tornadoes that struck Middle Tennessee on December 9, a benefit concert titled 'Unplugged for Tennessee' is being organized to support the affected communities. These tornadoes left a tragic toll, claiming six lives and causing injuries to 83 individuals, besides causing widespread damage to properties and leaving many without electricity.

Musical Acts Come Together for Relief Efforts

The charity event is scheduled to take place at Nashville's renowned Exit/In on Sunday, December 17. An impressive lineup of 11 local artists has pledged their support for the cause. Among them are HARDY, Nate Smith, Alana Springsteen, Dylan Marlowe, and the American Idol alumnus Chayce Beckham, as well as other notable acts like Abby Anderson, Graham Barham, Trey Lewis, and Jay Allen. Music industry expert Benji Chord will be hosting the evening's proceedings.

Funds to Aid Tornado Victims

All money raised from the concert will be channeled to Red Cross Tennessee and Hands On Nashville with the objective to assist those affected by the tornadoes. Although tickets for 'Unplugged for Tennessee' have sold out, there is still a call for contributions to help the victims. Multiple avenues remain open for those wanting to support the relief efforts monetarily or through volunteer work, with both Red Cross Tennessee and Hands on Nashville welcoming donations and volunteers for on-the-ground assistance in Clarksville and Nashville.

A Rapid Response by the Music Community

The rapid formation of the benefit concert reflects Nashville's resilient spirit and the healing role that music plays within the community. Matt Wilson, the founder of Media Farm Agency producing the event, expressed gratitude for the immediate and enthusiastic response from the artists and his team, emphasizing the importance of music as part of the city's recovery process.
