West Hollywood Welcomes the 2024 Winter Sounds Concert Series with an Array of Musical Talent

Published January 10, 2024

The vibrant city of West Hollywood is excited to kick off the new year with its 2024 Winter Sounds Free Indoor Concert Series. This anticipated music event is scheduled for select Saturday evenings starting January 27 through February 24. Located at the elegant Sun Rose performance space within Pendry West Hollywood at 8430 Sunset Boulevard, music enthusiasts are invited to join the celebration of sound. Guests can begin arriving at 6 p.m., with performances taking off at 7 p.m.

Jazz Takes Center Stage

The opening act on January 27 features the renowned jazz vocalist Sara Gazarek, a three-time Grammy nominee. Her impressive collaborations with jazz greats such as Fred Hersch and Billy Childs, coupled with six acclaimed albums, set the stage for a memorable night of music.

A Blend of Genres

On February 10, the series presents Julius Rodriguez, an exceptional multi-instrumentalist whose fusion of jazz, R&B, gospel, and hip-hop promises a unique and electrifying performance. Rodriguez, known for his work with notable artists like A$AP Rocky and on the Verve Records release 'Let Sound Tell All,' is a force to be reckoned with in contemporary music.

Finale Featuring Brandon Coleman

The grand finale on February 24 introduces the versatile Brandon Coleman — keyboardist, vocalist, and cosmic musical traveler. Known for his contributions to the worlds of jazz and funk fusion and for collaborations with Babyface, Flying Lotus, and Kamasi Washington, Coleman's event is bound to close the series with a futuristic flair.

These free-to-attend concerts are an initiative of the West Hollywood Arts Division, created for audiences who are 21 years and older. While RSVPs are recommended, they do not guarantee a spot, as seating operates on a first-come, first-served policy. For convenience, there's a $15 valet parking at Pendry, and while street parking might be an option, it's advisable to check local signs or consider a rideshare service. Those interested in more information about the performers and the concert series can visit the official Winter Sounds webpage.

For further details or assistance, Arts Specialist Joy Tribble is available for contact. The city also accommodates patrons who are Deaf or hard of hearing with available TTY services.
