DMTC Announces New Year’s Eve Celebration and Pence Gallery Exhibitions

Tickets have gone on sale for the yearly New Year's Eve celebration hosted by the Davis Musical Theatre Company (DMTC). An entertaining evening awaits community members starting with a performance of 'Seussical', a modern twist on the beloved works of Dr. Seuss that features characters like The Cat in the Hat and Horton the Elephant, followed by a festive buffet dinner.

The dinner, catered by Ludy’s of Woodland, will present a variety of dishes such as a full turkey dinner with sides, a tri-tip carving station, pasta with both alfredo and marinara sauce options, salad, rolls, assorted desserts, and a midnight toast with the choice of champagne or Martinelli's sparkling cider.

The DMTC event is scheduled for December 31, at 7:30 p.m. and each ticket is priced at $60. Those interested can find more information or purchase tickets at the DMTC website.

Exciting New Art at Pence Gallery

Additionally, art enthusiasts can look forward to new exhibits at the Pence Gallery commencing December 8. 'The Matter of Light' by Joseph Bellacera and 'Quiet Moments' by Adrienne Van Summern will introduce visitors to unique interpretations of light, color, and human introspection. The opening reception for both exhibitions will take place on December 8, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Ballet Performances at the Woodland Opera House

The holiday spirit continues at the Woodland Opera House with ballet performances of 'Peter and the Wolf' and 'The Nutcracker,' captivating audiences with enchanting dance interpretations of these classic stories. Shows will run from December 14 to 17 with tickets available for both adults and children.

Winters Opera House Hosts The Christmas Jug Band

Music lovers can also enjoy the lively and humorous musical stylings of The Christmas Jug Band, performing as part of their 'Re-jugification Tour' at the Winters Opera House. This year's lineup includes a mix of familiar faces and new talent. The concert is slated for December 17 at 7 p.m., and tickets can be acquired through the theatre's website.
