North Coast Dance to Host 'A Night of Ballet' Gala Featuring Classics

North Coast Dance, a revered non-profit dance organization, is excited to announce its Spring Gala titled 'A Night of Ballet: Tchaikovsky, Chopin, and Gershwin'. This exclusive event will feature a stunning blend of classical and contemporary ballet, set to music by legendary composers Tchaikovsky, Chopin, and Gershwin. The gala is scheduled to take place on Saturday at 7 p.m at the Arkley Center for the Performing Arts in Eureka. This singular evening promises an unforgettable experience of dance and music.

Enchanting Performances

The Spring Gala will present mesmerizing excerpts from the classic ballet 'Sleeping Beauty', under the artistic guidance of Linda Maxwell, Gina Grebe, Gina Ness, and Allison Arkley Holland. Audiences will be captivated by Clover Ladd in the role of Aurora and Jonny Wisan as her Prince, along with a talented ensemble featuring fairies and other iconic characters from the beloved fairytale.

The stage will also sparkle with performances by Harmony Sorter, Lizzy Peterson, Abbie Brodhag, Elizabeth Poston, Andrea Williams, Madisyn Wood, Heather Walker, Phoenix Jones, and Bellah Hall, who will enchant as fairies at Aurora's wedding scene.

Dynamic Duos

The event will showcase the dynamic duets of Serafina Arredondo and Mark Hapgood as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, while Daniel Tran and Hazel Neukom delight as Puss-n-Boots and White Cat. The fairy-tale atmosphere continues with Ethan Ladd as the Bluebird and Bizou Massias as Princess Florine joining the bridal party scene.

Contemporary Interpretations

In addition to traditional ballet, attendees will experience contemporary ballet pieces intricately choreographed to the music of George Gershwin and Frédéric Chopin, bringing a modern twist to the evening.
