The event, designed to raise funds for educational programs, also supported the economic vibrancy of local artisans and businesses.

Fundraiser for Education and Local Entrepreneurs

The bustling event, graced by Rocky the Pelican, the school mascot, offered a family-friendly atmosphere with a range of activities and shopping opportunities. Visitors could enjoy live music by performers like Attention Deficit and peruse handcrafted goods at the Artisan Market. The community festival also featured a special appearance by local artists and a pet adoption area that drew in animal lovers.

A Community Bonding Experience

The organizers, Kelsey Martin, Merisa Titlow, and Ariana Opsvig, were seen managing the merchandise table, while children engaged in various art activities. Artisan Jane Wheeler led a clay stamping activity, resulting in a collaborative wall display for the Bird Rock Elementary School, strengthening the connection between art and education. Additionally, Handmaed held a wreath-making session, adding to the festive atmosphere. The event concluded with a message of warmth and welcome from Bird Rock’s Paradisaea restaurant to all attendees.
