Bach in the Subways Celebrates Composer's Birthday with Outdoor Concert in Vacaville

Bach's music will resonate through downtown Vacaville as local musicians join the international celebration known as Bach in the Subways. This worldwide event aims to introduce classical music to the public in various community spaces like parks and cafés. This year, it will reach the old Carnegie Library courtyard at 300 Main St. in Vacaville on March 24 starting at 1:30 p.m.

Local Talent Joins Global Initiative

Music educator Alina Adams and her students from Alina's Music Studio will be partaking in this unique event to expose and attract new audiences to the classical genre. Adams, who has been a part of the initiative since learning about it six years ago, believes in the power of live classical music to inspire current and future generations.

A Program of Pure Bach

The performing ensemble, with a mix of youth and adult students, will showcase their passion for music through a variety of Bach's compositions. The performance is slated to include violin solos, duets, quintets, and larger ensembles. Pieces such as the Double Concerto for 2 violins in D minor and the Prelude from Cello Suite No. 1 will be among the selections for this free open-air concert.
