Published February 28, 2025

Lisa, the talented Thai singer and actress known for being a member of the popular K-pop group Blackpink, has officially launched her debut solo album titled Alter Ego on Friday. Along with the album, she also released a music video for her track "FUTW."

In the visually stunning music video, Lisa portrays a prisoner who transforms into an anime character at one point, showcasing her versatility as an artist. The video begins with a chilling introduction from an apparent jail warden saying, "I can't let you go without showing cell block D, where we have our most serious and disturbing patients. In particular, cell 13 is very fascinating." This sets the tone for an exciting and imaginative visual experience.

Beyond "FUTW," Lisa also shared lyric videos for two additional tracks from the album: "Dream" and "When I'm With You," featuring the artist Tyla. In "Dream," she reflects on nostalgia, singing, "Whenever I close my eyes, it's taking me back in time. Been drowning in dreams lately, like it's 2019 baby."

Her album Alter Ego consists of 15 tracks and includes exciting collaborations with well-known artists like Future, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, and Raye. Prior to the album release, Lisa had already shared singles such as "Rockstar," "New Woman" (in collaboration with Rosalía), "Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)," and "Born Again."

Lisa expressed her excitement and gratitude to her fans on Instagram, stating, "I can't believe my album is finally here. I'm so happy that it's yours now. I hope you love it as much as I do." Fans are sure to be thrilled with her new music as she continues to showcase her talent.

In addition to her solo endeavors, Lisa will join her fellow Blackpink members—Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo—for an upcoming world tour. Moreover, she is set to appear in Season 3 of the acclaimed series White Lotus, further expanding her presence in the entertainment industry.
