Morgan Wallen Announces New Tour and Album
Morgan Wallen continues to thrive in his musical career as he just revealed his upcoming I’m the Problem Tour in preparation for his fourth studio album.
This North American tour will consist of 10 cities and includes notable guests such as Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Koe Wetzel, Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley, and Anne Wilson.
Live Nation, the concert producer, has stated that Wallen is reworking the setlist originally created for his successful One Night at a Time World Tour to feature songs from his new album. The title track, “I’m the Problem,” is set to be released on January 31.
In a statement, the 31-year-old artist expressed his gratitude to his fans, saying, “We made so many lifelong memories on the One Night at a Time World Tour. As I’ve been working on new music, it has inspired me to get back on the road and share these new songs with you on the I’m the Problem Tour. See y’all there.”
While Wallen has not yet disclosed the full release date for the album, he confirmed on Friday that he is still in the process of creating the LP. A snippet of audio with the phrase “I’m the Problem” that Wallen shared in January 2024 has gained popularity on TikTok, circulating under the title “I Guess.” In an interesting twist, fans of superstar Taylor Swift, known as Swifties, have raised concerns about the tour's title, as it echoes a line from Swift’s 2022 song “Anti-Hero.” Representatives for Wallen were not available for comment regarding this issue.
The I’m the Problem Tour is set to kick off at NRG Stadium in Houston on June 20 and 21. It will continue on to cities such as Madison, Wisconsin; Miami Gardens, Florida; Glendale, Arizona; and Seattle. The tour also includes a stop in California for two shows at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara in early August. On August 1, Wallen will be joined by Wilson and Lambert, and on August 2, by Wilson and Brooks & Dunn.
Following additional performances in Cleveland, Foxborough, Massachusetts, and Toronto, the tour will wrap up on September 13 after two nights at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Canada.
Fans interested in tickets can sign up for the artist presale beginning Friday, which will last until Tuesday. The presale starts on January 30, with general ticket sales commencing on January 31 at morganwallen.com. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Morgan Wallen Foundation.
This upcoming tour follows Wallen's remarkable One Night at a Time stadium tour, which became the highest-grossing country tour ever, generating over $300 million during its expansive run of 87 dates.
Wallen faced some challenges during the year, including a legal incident in early 2021. Despite these obstacles, he moved forward, gaining recognition as the 2024 entertainer of the year at the Country Music Association Awards in November.
Additionally, he is set to be nominated for his first two Grammy Awards at the February 2 ceremony, alongside hip-hop star Post Malone for their duet “I Had Some Help.”
Wallen’s new tour is also on the heels of his first Sand in My Boots Festival, scheduled for May on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. The sold-out festival will feature performances by Wallen, Malone, Brooks & Dunn, and a variety of other artists over the three-day event.
