Travis Kelce Declines to Watch Taylor Swift's Christmas Favorite
Travis Kelce has made it clear that he is not interested in watching the Christmas movie "Love Actually." This popular film, released in 2003, features a star-studded cast that includes Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, and Alan Rickman. Interestingly, the movie holds a special place in the heart of Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Swift is known for her fondness for this holiday classic. However, when the idea of watching it came up in a recent episode of the "New Heights" podcast, Kelce quickly dismissed the notion. The topic was introduced when Jason Kelce's wife, Kylie, made a guest appearance on the show and suggested that the brothers review "Love Actually" for their movie club.
"'Love Actually' is a tremendous movie that you can really sit down with your significant other and enjoy because it’s not like one of your significant others hasn’t asked you to watch it multiple times and you said no every time," Kylie remarked, seemingly referring to Jason's reluctance. She argued that this could be a great reason for Jason to finally watch it.
Initially, Travis seemed confused about the movie, asking rhetorically, "Love Actually?" before checking his phone for more information. He seemed to want to avoid the movie altogether when Jason suggested that, instead of Kylie coming on their show to discuss it, he would appear on her podcast if she reviewed it.
In response, Kelce humorously said, "Yeah, don’t f–kng torture me; torture your husband. I’m an innocent bystander here, Ky. Don’t f–king come for me." His reaction indicates a strong aversion to watching the film.
The dislike for the holiday favorite was not limited to Travis. Jason also expressed his disinterest, stating, "I think we can both probably agree we’re not doing 'Love Actually.'" Therefore, it seems that neither of the Kelce brothers is willing to add this film to their holiday viewing list.
Despite their refusal to watch "Love Actually," the holiday season will see some festive content inspired by Travis and Taylor's romance. A Hallmark Christmas movie titled "Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story" recently premiered, garnering high viewership ratings of 2.88 million when it debuted on Saturday night.
While "Love Actually" may not be a favorite in the Kelce household, the movie does include cameos from notable figures, such as Donna Kelce and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. Reid mentioned that he had a small role in the film, stating, "I didn’t have a real big part in it, thank goodness, or the movie probably wouldn’t have been as good as it was, so that’s a good thing, but I enjoyed the people with Hallmark."
