Morgan Wallen Sets New Record with 16 No. 1 Hits
Morgan Wallen continues to dominate the country music scene. Recently, excitement has been building among his fans as he announced a new album is on the way, along with a sequel to his record-breaking One Night at a Time Tour. Although the release date for the album has not been confirmed, Wallen's latest single has already reached the top of the charts, solidifying his status as a leading artist in country music.
Morgan Wallen's Rise with "Love Somebody"
Last October, Morgan Wallen released his song "Love Somebody," describing it as a fresh take both in lyrics and sound. This new direction has certainly paid off, as the track has soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. This achievement marks Wallen's 16th No. 1 hit on the chart, starting with his hit "Up Down" in 2018, which featured Florida Georgia Line.
By reaching this milestone, Wallen surpasses fellow artist Luke Combs, who currently holds 15 No. 1 singles.
A Historic Year for Wallen
In 2024, Wallen achieved five No. 1 hits on the Country Airplay chart, setting a record for the most No. 1 songs in a single year in the chart's history, which spans 35 years. Out of these, only one was a solo hit, titled "Lies Lies Lies." The remainder were collaborations, including songs like "Cowgirls" with Ernest, and "Man Made a Bar" featuring Eric Church.
Upcoming Tour and Album
Morgan Wallen is set to kick off his "I’m The Problem" tour on June 20, 2025, in Houston, Texas. This tour will promote his new album, which Wallen confirmed is in the works. He has shared on Instagram that he is "locked in" on the album project, providing fans with glimpses of his recording process through photos on his account.
The title track, "I’m The Problem," is expected to be released on January 31. Earlier this year, Wallen teased this song, which fans initially thought was titled "I Guess." The lyrics include: "I guess I’m the problem / And you’re Miss Never Do No Wrong / If I’m so awful / Then why’d you stick around this long?"
