Published January 16, 2025

The inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance is set for Monday, January 20. The inaugural committee has arranged a variety of performers to entertain attendees as part of this historic event. Trump, who previously served as the 45th President of the United States from 2017 to 2021, will officially take the oath of office just after noon. This event serves not only as a transition of power in Washington, D.C., but also features a series of celebrations, including three official inaugural balls throughout the day.

Featured Performers

Among the many artists participating, Carrie Underwood will take the spotlight, singing "America the Beautiful" at the inauguration ceremony. She will be joined by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club. In a recent statement, Underwood expressed her excitement to be part of this momentous occasion, saying, "I love our country & am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future."

Other Notable Artists

Christopher Macchio, a classical tenor, will perform the National Anthem before the inauguration ceremony. Macchio announced his performance via X, stating, "It is with deep humility and gratitude that I have accepted @realDonaldTrump President Donald J. Trump’s gracious invitation to perform our National Anthem at the Inauguration of our 47th President."

Lee Greenwood, best known for his song "God Bless the USA," will also grace the stage at both the inauguration and the night before at the Make America Great Again Victory Rally. Greenwood, a 1984 Grammy Award winner, shares a personal friendship with Trump and performed at the Republican National Convention last summer.

Jason Aldean has shown his support for Trump during the 2024 presidential campaign and will perform at the Liberty Ball. Billy Ray Cyrus, another Trump supporter, will also entertain at the Make America Great Again Victory Rally.

Gavin DeGraw is set to headline the Starlight Ball, which will be the final celebration of the evening, exclusively featuring him as the performing artist. The group Rascal Flatts will perform at the Commander in Chief Ball, marking their first public appearance since reuniting after their breakup in 2021. They have plans for a 25th anniversary tour starting in February.
