Liam Payne's sister, Ruth Gibbins, recently shared a deeply emotional tribute to her late brother, expressing her heartache and sadness over his passing. She referred to Liam as her ‘best friend’ and apologized for not being able to protect him.

On Instagram, Gibbins posted a collection of family photos featuring Liam, who tragically passed away at the age of 31 on October 16. In her heartfelt message, she reflected on cherished memories and spoke about the close bond they shared.

"I can’t believe this is happening," she stated. "Liam was my best friend; no one could make me laugh like he did. His impressions always brought me joy, and he loved to make me laugh."

Ruth reminisced about her brother's journey, mentioning how he moved out at 17 to pursue his dreams. This motivated her to pass her driving test so she could visit him regularly. She fondly recalled the times they spent together, especially how she would drive him to his favorite restaurant, Wagamama, after performances.

"Those moments when I would pick him up from shows felt like an adventure. He played new songs from his albums, and we would share our excitement. Liam was passionate about his music and loved his bandmates in One Direction, discussing everything related to their journeys together," she added.

In her touching tribute, Gibbins revealed that Liam knew he could always depend on her. Their late-night calls often ended with affectionate exchanges, a tradition they maintained even when life got busy.

Her memories turned reflective as she wrote, "Liam, I’m struggling to understand this. I wish I could walk into your home and find you there, playing music or creating art. Your laughter has always filled my life with joy. You were incredibly talented, and I always admired how effortless you made everything look."

Gibbins expressed her pride in being Liam's sister and how much she appreciated his kind nature. She also recognized the challenges he faced and the love he wanted to give through his music. She hoped that he could finally see the love and admiration he deserved.

"Thank you, Liam, for the memories and for being the best brother. We will always cherish Bear, your son, and make sure he knows how amazing you were. I’m so sorry I couldn’t save you. I’d go to the ends of the Earth to bring you back," she concluded, emphasizing her enduring love for him.

Liam Payne was the youngest of three siblings, and while Ruth has shared her grief publicly, their other sister, Nicola Payne, has not yet commented on his passing. Reports from authorities indicated that Liam suffered a fall while in Argentina, with the circumstances still unclear, which has left his family heartbroken.

In a statement to the media, Payne's family expressed their sorrow, saying, "Liam will forever live in our hearts. We are supporting each other during this difficult time and ask for privacy as we cope with this loss."
