The chilling story of the Hamas attack on the Supernova Sukkot Gathering, an Israeli music festival, will soon reach international audiences through the documentary Supernova: The Music Festival Massacre. This harrowing film is scheduled for release in the UK and various other countries across the globe.

Global Broadcasting Rights Acquired

According to a report from Variety, a significant broadcaster in the UK has obtained the documentary. It has also been picked up by major networks including the BBC World Service, ZDF in Germany, SVT in Sweden, DR in Denmark, RAI in Italy, VRT in Belgium, CNews in France, and Record TV in Brazil. Israeli viewers can expect a premiere on December 23 in their country.

Personal Accounts of the Tragedy

Through interviews with survivors and first responders, the film offers a powerful look into the tragic events that unfolded on October 7 at the festival due to the actions of Hamas terrorists. The documentary's co-directors, Duki Dror and Yossi Bloch, bring together scenes and testimonies from the attack, creating an emotional and jarring narrative.

The Supernova Sukkot Gathering is the Israeli version of the Paralello Universo psytrance festival in Brazil. It was bustling with more than 3,500 attendees when the attacks resulted in 371 deaths, 40 abductions, and numerous injuries.

Wide Impact of the October 7 Attacks

The violence spread beyond the festival, including an infiltration elsewhere in Israel and a massacre at the Be'eri kibbutz. These events led to devastating retaliatory responses from the Israel Defense Forces.

In a statement following the assault, festival producers expressed their devastation over the incident, describing it as an unspeakable tragedy and a violation of human values. They pledged to stand behind their goal of securing Israel and supporting the victims and their families during this tragic time.
