Tirupati Gears Up for Enthralling South India Music and Dance Festival

Tirupati: The air of Tirupati, a city famed for its spiritual significance, is soon to be filled with a euphony of musical notes and the elegance of dance movements. An exciting three-day festival dedicated to the performing arts of South India is scheduled to take place, promising a treat for cultural aficionados. From February 14th to 16th, the renowned Mahati Auditorium will play host to this event, transforming into a hub for artistic expression.

Cultural Extravaganza Begins

A plethora of esteemed institutions have come together to orchestrate this festival, primarily the SV College of Music and Dance as well as the SV Nadaswaram and Dolu School, both operating under the auspices of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The festivities are set to kick off at 10 am on February 14th, with the grand inauguration to be presided over by the esteemed Shakti Peethadeeshwari Mata Ramyananda Bharati.

Stellar Lineup of Performers

The festival's stage will be graced by luminaries in the field of music and dance such as Padmasri Dr Yella Venkateswara Rao and Pasumarthi Ramalinga Sastry. These virtuosos, along with other industry stalwarts, will not only perform but also impart their knowledge through engaging lectures. Students of the music and dance college are also set to captivate the audience with stellar performances, including elaborate dance ballets like 'Sri Krishna Leela Vilasam', 'Sri Rama Kathasaram', 'Bhakta Prahlada Yaksha Ganam', and more, which will breathe life into timeless tales.

Recognition of Distinguished Contributions

This event will also serve as an important occasion to honor the retired principals of the college, recognizing their enduring impact and contributions to the field of arts. In addition to the cultural celebrations, the festival will see the attendance of prominent figures such as TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, EO A.V. Dharma Reddy, JEO V. Veerabrahmam, CVSO D. Narasimha Kishore, among other officials. The festival will conclude with a valedictory session on February 16th at 6:45 pm.
