The 9th Annual Twelfth Night Celebration and Jam: Mardi Gras Festivities Begin with Cajun Music
As the Mardi Gras season approaches, the Cajun Music Preservation Society is gearing up to infuse the community with festive spirit through music and dance. Everyone is cordially invited to attend their most vibrant event of the year, the 9th Annual Twelfth Night Celebration and Jam, which will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gina’s At The Legion in Thibodaux.
A Musical Extravaganza to Kickstart the Mardi Gras Celebration
The Twelfth Night Celebration and Jam is an open invitation to all who admire and enjoy traditional Cajun music. The event welcomes participants of all ages and ability levels, who play acoustic instruments such as fiddles, accordions, triangles, banjos, and more. It's not only about playing music, but also about dancing and relishing the joyous atmosphere. Misty Leigh McElroy, a representative of the Cajun Music Preservation Society, confirmed that this annual jam session stands out as the grandest and most enjoyable occasion they put together each year.
Travel in Style with the Krewe of Tradition Party Bus
Enhancing the celebration, the Krewe of Tradition is providing a fun-filled party bus service for the second consecutive year, facilitating attendees' journey to and from the event. The bus route will include traveling from the Intracoastal Club in Houma to Gina’s At The Legion and then returning to Houma. Those excited about the party bus experience should secure their spots by RSVPing to the Krewe of Tradition's email by January 4, 2024. The promise of music, camaraderie, and Mardi Gras merriment awaits everyone at the 9th Annual Twelfth Night Celebration and Jam.
