Just Like Heaven 2025: A Rilo Kiley Reunion and More

Published January 28, 2025

The Just Like Heaven Festival is set to take place on May 10, 2025, in Pasadena, California. Vampire Weekend will be the headliner of the main stage. However, for many fans, the highlight of the event will be the long-awaited reunion of coheadliners Rilo Kiley, who have not performed live in over 15 years.

Rilo Kiley, led by singer-guitarist Jenny Lewis, expressed their excitement about reuniting for this festival. In a statement, they said, "We are so very excited to come back together for Just Like Heaven in Pasadena, California — Los Angeles. As a band, we began here, and we feel so fortunate to return among so many artists and friends, to this community we hold so dear, in such a beautiful and meaningful place."

Alongside Rilo Kiley and Vampire Weekend, many indie favorites will also take the stage. This includes Empire of the Sun, TV On The Radio, the Drums, Toro y Moi, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Fans can also look forward to performances by Grouplove, Perfume Genius, the Sounds, Panda Bear, and Beach Fossils.

Shoegaze band Slowdive will appear as "very special guests." Notably, this festival features several prominent anniversaries, including the 20th anniversaries of Bloc Party’s "Silent Alarm" and Peter Bjorn and John’s "Writer’s Block," as well as the 10th anniversary of Courtney Barnett’s "Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit."

Other artists set to perform include Hercules & Love Affair, Ra Ra Riot, Them Jeans, and Wild Nothing.

The festival organizers are also keeping recent events in mind, particularly the tragic Southern California wildfires. This festival falls just west of the area affected by the devastating Eaton Fire, which resulted in loss of life and destruction across Altadena.

In a statement, TV on the Radio mentioned their eagerness to perform, saying, "We are looking forward to playing in Pasadena with so many friends in May. With L.A. still experiencing these devastating fires, we are sending our love and support to all those in the Altadena and Palisades area who have been affected by the catastrophic fires. We love you, L.A."

To aid the community, Goldenvoice, the festival’s organizer, has donated $250,000 to Eaton Fire relief. Additionally, first responders verified through GOVX.com are eligible to receive up to two general admission passes for Just Like Heaven while supplies last.

Tickets for the festival will go on sale at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 31, through JustLikeHeavenfest.com. General admission passes start at $175 plus fees, VIP passes begin at $399 plus fees, and Clubhouse passes are available for $649 plus fees. Limited-time payment plans will also be offered.

Moreover, the festival has updated its policy regarding child admission. Now, children aged 10 and under can attend for free when accompanied by a ticketed parent or guardian, raising the previous age limit from five years old.
