Ed Sheeran’s Mathematical Tour to Debut in Bhutan

Ed Sheeran, the globally recognized music sensation, has revealed an exciting addition to his upcoming Mathematical Tour (+–=÷x) 2025, which is his biggest concert series to date. The tour is set to include a significant show in Bhutan on January 24, 2025.

This performance will mark the very first time that the renowned English singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, and actor will entertain fans in Bhutan.

The concert is scheduled to take place at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, a venue that can accommodate over 25,000 fans. For those wanting to be part of this historic event, tickets will go on sale at 12:00 noon today, exclusively online at www.tix.bt.

For Bhutanese attendees, it's necessary to use the updated Bhutan app along with Bhutanese Citizenship Identity Cards for ticket purchases.

International guests can buy tickets through email; however, they will also need to arrange for visas at a cost of USD 40 and pay the sustainable development fee of USD 100 per night for their stay in Bhutan. Indian nationals will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for INR 1,200.

The price of tickets ranges from USD 10 (Nu 860) to USD 101 (Nu 8,600), depending on the seating zone. Each buyer can purchase a maximum of six tickets.

At 33 years old, Ed Sheeran is famous for his unique blend of genres, including folk, rock, pop, and hip-hop. With nearly 200 million records sold worldwide, he is considered a defining artist of this era. His recent accomplishments include being a member of Spotify’s Billions Club, which recognizes artists with songs that have over one billion streams; Sheeran has achieved this with 12 songs, including “The A Team,” which hit this milestone in 2011.

The Mathematical Tour commenced in 2022 and has already seen over 134 performances around the globe.

The upcoming concert will feature a selection of music from Sheeran’s extensive catalog, showcasing tracks from his acclaimed albums Plus, Multiply, Divide, Equals, and his latest release, Subtract.

Additionally, following his concert in Bhutan, Ed Sheeran plans to collaborate with several Bhutanese artists, further enriching the cultural exchange.

The 2025 Mathematical Tour will visit multiple countries, including India (with stops in Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Shillong, and Delhi), Qatar (Doha), and Bahrain (Sakhir).

The concert in Bhutan is being organized by Gelephu Mindfulness City, AEG Presents, and One Fiinix Live.
