Demi Moore Finds Comfort After Oscars Loss with Dog Pilaf and Fries
Demi Moore, the well-known actress, found a cozy way to deal with her disappointment after not winning an Oscar. The ceremony took place on March 2, where Moore, 62, was in the running for the Best Actress award for her role in the movie The Substance.
Despite being a strong contender who had already received a Golden Globe and a SAG Award for her performance, she ultimately lost to Mikey Madison, the star of Anora. Madison’s emotional acceptance speech highlighted the surreal nature of the moment for her.
To ease her feelings, Moore spent the evening snuggling with her Chihuahua, Pilaf, and munching on two large bowls of French fries. This relatable comfort food moment was shared by her daughter, Tallulah Willis, on Instagram, who snapped a picture of her mother in a white bathrobe, enjoying her time at home.
Tallulah, who is 31 years old, proudly showed her support for her mom on the day of the Oscars by wearing a sweatshirt that read, “Demi F—ing Moore.” The actress has two other daughters, Rumer and Scout, from her marriage to actor Bruce Willis.
Though Moore did not win the Oscar, she was highly regarded for her role as a TV fitness guru named Elizabeth Sparkle in The Substance. The loss was surprising to many, given her previous accolades this awards season.
Moore competed against several talented actresses in the category, including Cynthia Erivo, Karla Sofía Gascón, and Fernanda Torres, all of whom were first-time nominees. Erivo had previously been nominated for two awards in 2020.
In the end, Anora also claimed the award for Best Picture, with Adrien Brody winning Best Actor for The Brutalist. Zoe Saldaña secured Best Supporting Actress for her role in Emilia Pérez, while Kieran Culkin took home Best Supporting Actor for his performance in A Real Pain.
