BeachLife Festival 2025 Lineup Announced
The BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach is set to feature an impressive lineup in 2025, featuring rock icons like Lenny Kravitz, Alanis Morissette, and reggae legends Sublime. This marks the sixth annual festival, which promises to be a celebration of music alongside art, gourmet food, and more from May 2 to 4.
Festival Lineup Highlights
Festival organizers revealed the lineup on January 7. Alongside Kravitz, Morissette, and Sublime, attendees can look forward to performances by famous artists such as Jackson Browne and members of The Beach Boys. The event will showcase nearly 40 acts across various stages, including popular bands like Train, O.A.R., Cake, and Mt. Joy. Iconic hitmakers such as the Pretenders and Susanna Hoffs, who is known as the lead singer of The Bangles, will also grace the festival.
Punk and Reggae Representation
The festival aims to celebrate local music scenes, showcasing both Long Beach's reggae roots and the South Bay's punk history. Sublime will headline on May 3, with Greg Graffin from Bad Religion performing an acoustic set on the same day. For punk enthusiasts, the festival will also feature solo acoustic shows from Jim Lindberg, the frontman for Pennywise, and Milo Aukerman, the leader of Descendants.
Family-Friendly Experience
Since its inception, BeachLife Festival has been designed as a family-friendly event. Founder Allen Sanford mentioned that the organizers wanted to create a fun way to present punk music acoustically, emphasizing it as a unique experience. "You have, arguably, three of the larger punk rock bands of all time from around here, and they’re all coming to play acoustic, which will be just insane," Sanford said.
Headlining Acts and Schedule
Lenny Kravitz will kick off the festival, headlining on Friday, May 2, with Train and O.A.R. also performing that night. On Saturday, May 3, Sublime will take the stage along with the Pretenders and Cake. On the final day, Sunday, May 4, Alanis Morissette will headline, celebrating the 30th anniversary of her groundbreaking album Jagged Little Pill, with additional performances from Mt. Joy, Jackson Browne, and The Beach Boys.
Reflection on Past Festivals
Since its debut in 2019, BeachLife Festival has seen an array of stars, from Willie Nelson to Gwen Stefani. Last year faced challenges, particularly due to high winds that affected the final day of performances, but organizers aimed to recover and make the festival better than ever.
New Additions for 2025
This year's festival will be held once again at Seaside Lagoon, where a new venue called the California Surf Club is also set to open in February. This 21,000-square-foot facility will feature fine dining, a full-service membership club, and beautiful views.
Tickets and Community Support
As in previous years, festival-goers can enjoy a variety of culinary options, with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free choices available. They will also support charitable causes through silent auctions and partnerships with local organizations. Tickets for the event, including single and three-day options, are available now.
