Published January 20, 2024

The Greeley Blues Jam has announced its headliner for the 2024 festival, and none other than the blues duo Blood Brothers will be taking the main stage. This celebrated event is known for bringing together a mix of seasoned and emerging blues talent, and the upcoming gathering is no exception.

Excitement Builds as Lineup Revealed

A revealing event at Moxi Theater in downtown Greeley set the stage for excitement as blues enthusiasts learned of the acts scheduled for the 2024 festival. Alongside Blood Brothers, the Main Stage will see performances from Melody Angel, The Jimmys, Danielle Nicole Band, and Selwyn Birchwood, all promising to deliver their unique flavors of blues.

Colorado talents will also shine on their dedicated stage with Chris Daniels & The Kings, Blue Recluse, Dennis Jones, and Allman Brothers tribute act My Blue Sky. The announcement signified a strong lineup that pledges to captivate audiences with soulful performances.

A Closer Look at the Blood Brothers

Blood Brothers, comprising Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia, stand as pillars in the blues community. Zito has been a fixture since the early 2000s, recognized for his spellbinding guitar skills and role in the Royal Southern Brotherhood. Castiglia, known for his work with blues greats and solo achievements, complements Zito's talents.

Since their collaborative tour in 2022 and the success of their live album, the duo's performance at the Greeley Blues Jam is among the most anticipated events for 2024.

Festival Founders Reflect on Legacy

Al Bricker, who initiated the Greeley Blues Jam with his wife, Pam, in 2005, aims to enrich Greeley's cultural landscape with the festival's diverse blues offerings. Each year's event also underscores community spirit by supporting local charities, as demonstrated by a significant donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County in the lead-up to this year's festival.

The 2024 Greeley Blues Jam will take place at Island Grove Regional Park, spanning May 31 and June 1, featuring not just incredible music but also an engaging experience for attendees and performers alike.
