Published January 10, 2024

The vibrant Lahaina community is gearing up for the second 'One Love Lahaina' gathering, an event that promises an exhilarating mix of music, skateboarding, and community spirit - all at no cost to attendees. This free event is scheduled for Friday and will be hosted at Citizen Church Maui, offering entertainment and activities suited for every age.

An Evening Filled with Entertainment

The festivities will kick off at 4 p.m. and continue until 7:30 p.m., presenting attendees with thrilling performances by the San Diego-based group We The Commas and a rousing opening act by local punk band Flamingo Rider. These live music sessions aim to set the perfect backdrop for the evening's skateboard jam.

A Message of Hope and Solidarity

In alignment with the values of One Love Skate, a segment of the evening will be dedicated to sharing the 'One Love of Jesus' – a message of hope that has touched individuals globally and is set to enrich the Lahaina community further.

A Community Effort

Located at 4275 Hine Way in Lahaina, the event is set to unfold under the church's outdoor tent and in their parking lot. Generous sponsorship comes from One Love Skate, Aloha Skatepark, Mana Mentors, and others, including Citizen Church Lahaina and Harvest Kumulani.

Goodies and Good Times

Attendees are in for a treat with giveaways generously provided by local skateboard, surf, and clothing companies. The inaugural One Love Lahaina event was a resounding success, with roughly 300 people in attendance and over a thousand dollars collected for the community.
