Melissa Etheridge Tops March Music Events in Northern State
March's musical landscape takes off with an energetic start as Kalan FrFr heads to the Senator Theatre on the first day of the month. Presented by JMax Productions and ENT Legends, this event showcases his unique blend of rap and singing from his debut album, "TwoFr 2." Kalan FrFr is embarking on a tour that will weave through California.
The following week, on March 8, Lost on Main is setting the stage for a compelling triple act featuring Marlon Asher, Brady Shammar, and DJ duo Stay Positive Sound. Marlon Asher, an originator from Trinidad, is famed for tunes such as "Ganja Farmer" and "Fit and Strong." Meanwhile, Brady Shammar brings her Jamaican heritage to the forefront with a rich reggae background.
Metalachi, the unique heavy metal mariachi group from East Los Angeles, is set to perform at Lost on Main on March 13, bringing a powerful fusion of classic heavy metal and mariachi music through their famous covers, courtesy of JMax Productions.
The very next night, March 14, Lost on Main embraces the unique sounds of Toubab Krewe, an instrumental outfit from North Carolina that melds various musical styles. Supported by local band Wolfthump, they promise a night of diverse rhythms and melodies.
St. Patrick's Day in Chico wouldn't be complete without Kevin Burke's St. Patty's Day Blowout at the Chico Women's Club on March 15. Burke is renowned for his masterful Irish fiddle playing and is joined by talents from the traditional music group, The Alt.
The standout concert of the month features the legendary Melissa Etheridge on March 16 at Gold Country Casino. Celebrated for her music and coming out in the '90s, Etheridge embarks on the I'm Not Broken Tour. Expect a soulful experience as she often performs looping guitar and rhythm parts live.

On March 19, Big Something arrives at Lost on Main with their Headspace Tour, merging various music genres into a lively performance that promises to be a memorable event.
Definitely Dead, a Grateful Dead tribute band, will be recreating the iconic band's experience at the Paradise Performing Art Center on March 23, with their top-notch performance and accurate historical gear.
To cap off the month, Rick Estrin and the Nightcats are set to delight blues fans at the Chico Women's Club on March 29. Known for Estrin's strong vocals and harmonica skills, the band is a modern blues powerhouse.
