The music project known as Parkland, led by the talented Vancouver-based musician Rob Malowany, is gearing up for an exciting event. Celebrating the release of its new album, 'Daily Acceptance For Evenings of Disarray,' Parkland has scheduled a special performance this coming weekend.

A Night of Musical Disarray

The performance is planned for March 9 at Hipposonic Studios, starting at 7 p.m. Fans of the group will have the opportunity to experience the album live, a compilation that promises to deliver unique, experimental roots music with a touch of ambient soundscapes. The event serves as a platform to bring the album's intricate compositions to life.

Rhythmic Reveal

'Daily Acceptance For Evenings of Disarray' was officially released on February 16 by Microcultures Records and includes the combined efforts of several skilled musicians. With a cast featuring Stephen Lyons on drums, Shanto Acharia on bass, the violin artistry of Marielle Groven, Aaron Lumley on double bass, and Robin Hunter's lap steel guitar skills, the album concludes a trilogy of releases by Malowany with Acharia and Lyons. This latest work is expected to captivate listeners who appreciate the experimental edge to folk and roots music.

Tickets for the upcoming showcase are currently available through the Parkland Music Project's website, promising an evening that expands on the recorded material with a potential for improvisation and raw live energy. Described as a combination of psychedelic jazz and folk tailored for contemporary tastes, Parkland's performance is anticipated to take attendees on an unconventional musical journey.
