LIMEHOF Concert Gala to Celebrate Billy Joel and Induct Tilles Center

The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame (LIMEHOF) is gearing up to host a grand concert gala in tribute to the celebrated musician Billy Joel on June 7. This event aligns with LIMEHOF's 20^th anniversary celebrations and is set to unfold at the prestigious Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, situated on the LIU Post campus in Brookville.

An Homage to Long Island's Musical Prodigy

The evening promises to be an extraordinary festivity, shedding light on Long Island's influential cultural scene. It will feature over 120 inductees who contributed to the burgeoning local music industry. Ernie Canadeo, the chairman of LIMEHOF, emphasized the significance of the event saying it reflects their mission to uphold and pass down Long Island's rich musical history to the coming generations.

Canadeo further expressed that the concert beautifully harmonizes with the 'Billy Joel – My Life' exhibition, currently present at the Hall of Fame in Stony Brook.

A Star-Studded Lineup

A plethora of musical talent, comprising Alexa Ray Joel, Debbie Gibson, and Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels, is set to grace the stage. Additionally, the roster includes DJ Johnny Juice, Felix Cavaliere, Jimmy Webb, and Mike DelGuidice among others. Contributors from Blue Öyster Cult and the band Zebra are also part of the scheduled acts for the night.

The executive and artistic director of Tilles Center, Tom Dunn, expressed his delight and called it an 'absolute privilege' to be hosting the event in recognition of Billy Joel, a friend, and supporter of Tilles Center. Honoring Billy's illustrious career with such music luminaries is the perfect tribute.

Recognizing Industry and Venue Stalwarts

Along with the musical celebrations, the event marks the induction of Dennis Arfa, a renowned music agent, into the 'Music Industry' category, while the Tilles Center itself will be celebrated in the 'Venue' category. Dunn shared his gratitude for Tilles Center's induction into LIMEHOF, highlighting it as an honor.
