Michelle Lambert Anticipates New Album and Expansive Tour

Published December 20, 2023

For many, the close of the year signals a time for relaxation, but for the up-and-coming pop sensation Michelle Lambert, it's a time of new beginnings.

A fresh album is on the horizon for Lambert, and she's gearing up for a broad tour next year. Known for her hit 'Come to Me,' this artist is set to balance time in the recording studio with electrifying stage performances in the near future.

After recently laying down tracks for her latest single 'To The West Coast,' Lambert is preparing to enchant audiences at her free Holiday Show on December 23 at The Beer Garden Stage in downtown Benicia. Fans can expect a dynamic display of her live talents, including a blend of Christmas favorites and engaging new material.

Lambert shares, 'Benicia is always a blast to play. I love it!' The show isn't just a holiday revelry but also a showcase of what she has achieved and what's to come.

Lambert's small-town upbringing in Covelo, Mendocino County, lacked urban conveniences, but offered something invaluable: a Juilliard-trained music teacher who provided exceptional lessons. At the tender age of 3, Lambert began learning the violin, with the piano soon to follow, paving the way for her musical journey.

'As I hit my teens, I started composing music, transitioning from classical to pop,' says Lambert, noting influences from the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers to The Cranberries. While pop is her primary focus, she pulls inspiration from current stars like Ed Sheeran, yet stands out by incorporating her classical violin training into her sound.

Lambert creatively redefines the use of the violin, substituting it for synthesizers or guitars, shifting its classically-recognized sound to fit an urban vibe. 'The violin speaks to me like a second language,' she explains. 'It's a powerful way to express myself musically.'

Making music that resonates with people's emotions has been Lambert's lifelong ambition, despite the demanding nature of her career. She emphasized the importance of trusting her instincts to navigate through her musical endeavors.

'Balancing stage performances with recording sessions is challenging,' she admits. 'Yet, I always try to listen to my inner guidance to decide how to allocate my time effectively.'

With a few more composing sessions lined up, Lambert is poised to launch her sophomore album next year, following the success of her debut 'My California' in 2022. She's ready to extend her tour beyond her home state, bringing her music to fans nationwide.
