Oscars 2025 Nominations: See the Complete List

Published January 23, 2025

Nominations for the 2025 Oscars were announced on Thursday, January 23, unveiling a list of talented stars and filmmakers set to compete at the 97th annual Academy Awards. The ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, March 2, at the Dolby Theatre located in Ovation Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Actors Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott revealed the nominations during an event held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

This year's Oscars will feature Conan O’Brien as the host for the first time. In a statement from November 2024, he humorously commented, "America demanded it and now it’s happening: Taco Bell’s new Cheesy Chalupa Supreme. In other news, I’m hosting the Oscars."

The Academy's CEO Bill Kramer and President Janet Yang expressed their excitement about O’Brien's involvement, noting, "He is the perfect person to help lead our global celebration of film with his brilliant humor, his love of movies and his live TV expertise." They further stated, "His remarkable ability to connect with audiences will bring viewers together to do what the Oscars do best — honor the spectacular films and filmmakers of this year."

Last year, the film Oppenheimer dominated the Oscars, winning seven awards including Best Picture, along with individual accolades for Cillian Murphy as Best Actor, Robert Downey Jr. for Best Supporting Actor, and Christopher Nolan as Best Director. Emma Stone won Best Actress for her role in Poor Things, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph took home the award for Best Supporting Actress for The Holdovers.
