Oasis Reunion Tour: Are Your Tickets at Risk of Being Cancelled?
A cloud of uncertainty has fallen over the eagerly awaited Oasis Reunion Tour set for 2025, leaving around 50,000 fans in potential distress.
Reports suggest that some of the resale tickets might be cancelled, making it crucial for fans to verify the authenticity of their tickets.
Why are Oasis tickets potentially getting cancelled?
After the exciting announcement of their reunion in August, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher quickly sold about 1.4 million tickets to enthusiastic fans. However, ticket promoters Live Nation and SJM found that numerous tickets had surfaced on unauthorized resale platforms. This led to their decision to take action against such practices.
According to sources, these promoters mentioned, "Ticketmaster and See Tickets will begin the process of cancelling tickets that are thought to have violated the established terms and conditions for this tour within the next few weeks."
The terms outlined that tickets should only be resold on official platforms like Ticketmaster and Twickets, and strictly at face value. It appears that roughly 4% of tickets were sold on secondary markets for profit, prompting organizers to implement significant measures to void these unauthorized sales.
If you bought your ticket through official vendors, there's no need to worry. However, fans who obtained tickets from unauthorized resale websites could face cancellations.
The best way to avoid falling victim to cancellations or scams is to stick to official resale platforms.
Will there be a chance to buy Oasis tickets again?
If any tickets are cancelled, they will eventually be made available again on Ticketmaster. However, the specific timing for this resale has not yet been established.
