Published January 9, 2024

It's an exciting time for music enthusiasts in Cyprus, as the cities of Nicosia, Limassol, and Larnaca are preparing for a dynamic slate of live music performances this week. These events promise a diverse mix of genres, offering everything from high-energy rock tunes and dance-worthy party hits to soothing acoustic melodies and sophisticated jazzy rhythms.

Mid-week Beats and Brews

The revelry kicks off mid-week with the lively sounds of Minus One, a local five-piece ensemble, set to perform at New Division in Nicosia. Starting at 9:30 pm on Wednesday, the band plans to energize the crowd with popular covers and chart-topping songs, complemented by a range of refreshing beers and handcrafted cocktails for patrons to enjoy.

Friday Night Vibes

As the weekend looms, the tempo rises with more musical showcases on the horizon. Larnaca's Savino Live will host the talented Andreas Moiseos and his band, who are scheduled to perform tracks from his album Stathmos as well as a selection of covers. This performance is expected to begin at 10:00 pm, with the five-member band taking the stage to entertain the audience.

In Limassol, the evening will be infused with the rhythmic nuances of jazz at Vinylio Wine Etc. The venue is set to present Kakia Fesa on vocals, alongside the melodic contributions of saxophonist Marios Papares and guitarist Andreas Yerolatsitis, merging their talents to deliver an exceptional selection of jazz pieces throughout the night.

Saturday Night Serenades

Jazz continues to echo in Nicosia with Sarah’s Jazz Club featuring Ezgi Akgürgen, who, in collaboration with artists Cahit Kutrafali on bass and Kadir Evre on guitar, will perform a blend of jazz, R&B, and soul. The following night, the venue changes its tune to accommodate a southern rock, blue, and classic rock ballad vibe with the band Time Ride. They'll be covering legendary tunes from iconic musicians including Aerosmith, Five Finger Death Punch, Gary Moore, Bon Jovi, and Bryan Adams. The band, consisting of George Charalambous, Stavros Kouvelis, Andreas Tapas, Demetra Philippou, and Panayiotus Englezakis, is sure to captivate the crowd with their rock renditions.
