Brianna Chickenfry Accuses Zach Bryan of Emotional Abuse
Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia, the ex-girlfriend of country singer Zach Bryan, has made serious allegations against him regarding emotional abuse. Her accusations came just two weeks after he publicly announced their breakup on social media.
During a recent episode of the "BFFs" podcast, hosted by Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, LaPaglia opened up about her fears related to Bryan. She stated, "The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude. I’m still scared right now because I’m scared of him.”
LaPaglia expressed that she initially refrained from discussing their breakup during a previous podcast episode due to concerns about how Bryan would react. She mentioned, "My brain’s rewired and I’m scared to make him mad. And last week, I didn’t want to talk about it ’cause I was scared.”
She also claimed that the Grammy-winning artist had his previous girlfriends sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). LaPaglia exclaimed, "You made the women before me believe that they had no other choice but to take money from you, they signed their experiences and what they went through away so you get to go skip off and sing your little f–king songs on stage like you’re a good dude."
Furthermore, LaPaglia alleged that Bryan offered her $12 million to remain silent about her experiences. She declared, "I’m not signing away my experiences and what I went through to protect someone that hurt me, and I’m a lot stronger than a weak man. F–k you and f–k your money.”
LaPaglia described their relationship as a toxic cycle, saying, "It was just this constant cycle of build you up, beat you down... apologize over and over and over.” She recalled moments of emotional manipulation during their year-long relationship, where she felt love-bombed in the beginning but later experienced conflict and distress.
She added that Bryan would often yell at her during fights, causing her significant emotional pain, leading her to cry herself to sleep at night. LaPaglia emphasized that this podcast episode is also for others who are experiencing similar abuse, saying, "It’s for people that don’t have a support system that I was lucky enough to have going through this.”
The couple was first linked romantically in July 2023, and LaPaglia revealed that she felt blindsided by his announcement of their breakup in October.
Not looking to "expose" Bryan but instead to share her truth, LaPaglia has sought to create a space for conversation around emotional abuse.
