Published December 21, 2023

In a show of support for the Palestinian people, three musical powerhouses, Fontaines D.C., Massive Attack, and Young Fathers have come together to release a new record. These artists are leveraging their collective voices to aid the humanitarian efforts led by the organization Médecins Sans Frontières, also known as Doctors Without Borders (MSF). This group is renowned for its medical support to conflict-affected zones like Gaza.

Special Edition Vinyl for a Special Cause

The collaboration takes the form of a special 12” ceasefire vinyl record, which includes songs from each of the artists. This limited edition vinyl is adorned with a unique ceasefire sleeve designed by Robert Del Naja, or 3D from Massive Attack, highlighting the solidarity with the people enduring hardships in Gaza. The back cover reveals a poignant message from a late MSF doctor, reinforcing the urgency and importance of the cause.

Artistic Statements of Unity and Support

Making their stance clear, Massive Attack's 3D expressed his deep respects for the medics working on the front lines and emphasized the gravity of the situation in Gaza. On their part, Fontaines D.C. called for action, demanding an immediate end to the violence and occupation. It's not only about music; this endeavor underlines a pressing human rights issue.

Fontaines D.C., Massive Attack, and Young Fathers join a growing list of artists who have previously shown their support through performances and statements. Their collective efforts focus on raising awareness and pushing for funds to support the urgent medical help MSF provides in Gaza.
