This coming week in Bratislava, locals and visitors alike have the opportunity to delve into a variety of cultural and outdoor activities without spending a penny. From a unique concert celebrating International Women's Day to a serene forest hike, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Music
At the Austrian Cultural Forum on March 7th, a concert is scheduled to honor International Women's Day at exactly 18:00. The evening’s program will be an homage to female composers and will feature innovative intermezzos by Ana Topalovic. Audiences will be treated to an exploration of the cello's capabilities through electronic technology. To attend, it's recommended to register via email at the Austrian Cultural Forum.
Exhibition
In the world of art, 'For You With Love' by artist Natália Okolicsányiová is on display at Flatgallery until March 1st. Supported by the Slovak Art Council, Okolicsányiová's exhibition showcases a thought-provoking collection of work. Art enthusiasts can join the exhibition closing event, which includes a curatorial walkthrough with Andrej Jaroš at 18:00 this Friday.
Nature
For nature lovers, an invigorating hike is planned for this Sunday. The adventure begins at the Nivy bus station at 10:00, taking a path through lush vineyards and dense forests up to Veľký Javorník and Malý Javorník. After a stop-over at the Bielý kríž buffet, the 14 km trail concludes with a descent down forestry trails to the Detvianska tram stop. Proper footwear is advised due to some rugged terrain.
