PULSE Music Group, which is based in Los Angeles, has teamed up with the Grammy-award-winning songwriter, producer, and artist Dan Wilson to create a new music publishing joint venture named Supermoon Songs.

The announcement came on a Tuesday, with PULSE's Co-CEOs Scott Cutler and Josh Abraham, alongside President and Head of Creative, Ashley Calhoun expressing excitement about the collaboration.

Dan Wilson is highly regarded as a prominent figure in the music world, having contributed his songwriting and production skills to a wide array of musicians such as Leon Bridges, Panic! At the Disco, and Adele, to name a few.

The new venture, Supermoon Songs, initiated by Wilson in partnership with PULSE Music Group, aims to sign and nurture talents, focusing on artists, writers, and producers. This agreement allows Wilson to bring his expertise and mentorship to the future stars of the music industry.

Wilson's management, represented by Jim Grant of JGM Management, and his business affiliate Rick Markowitz from Fast Casual, also have foundational roles in Supermoon Songs.

The very first artist to join the roster of Supermoon Songs is Paul Dally, a multi-talented artist, songwriter, and musician.

Dan Wilson, known for his work with his band Semisonic and for co-writing hits like 'Closing Time,' 'Not Ready to Make Nice' with the Chicks, and 'Someone Like You' with Adele, brings a wealth of experience to this initiative. He has received global recognition, with tracks like 'Someone Like You' achieving substantial success and his contributions to Adele’s album '21' earning prestigious accolades.

Wilson's achievements extend to nominations and awards at the Grammys, including a win for Song of the Year and additional nominations for his collaborative efforts with artists such as Taylor Swift and Jon Batiste.

Aside from his successful career with Semisonic, which recently released a new album, Wilson has ventured solo and with other groups, showcasing his versatility as a musician.

Co-CEO Scott Cutler sees Wilson as a generational talent whose songs have enamored listeners worldwide. Cutler believes that the establishment of Supermoon Songs aligns perfectly with PULSE's mission to empower creative artists, owing to Wilson's prowess in drawing the best out of talent.

Vice President of A&R at PULSE, Annie Aberle, also commended Wilson's legendary status and mentorship role, which serves as inspiration to many in the industry.

Dan Wilson himself is eager to take his role as a mentor a step further by helping emerging artists to flourish in the music scene through Supermoon Songs. The venture is set to kickstart the careers of the next generation of musicians, beginning with Paul Dally's signing.

Rick Markowitz expressed his admiration and honor in being able to work with Dan Wilson and the team at Supermoon Songs, lauding Wilson’s creative spirit and approach to the creative process.
