Just Like Heaven Festival 2024 Boasts A Star-Studded Lineup With The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie Leading the Scene

Brookside at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena is all set to host the highly-anticipated Just Like Heaven Festival on Saturday, May 18, for what is expected to be a memorable day of indie rock and electro dance tunes. This one-day celebration of melodies will serve as the festival's fourth iteration, bringing together fans to revel in live performances amidst the historic surroundings.

Iconic Albums Hit the 20-Year Milestone

The festival lineup is topped by celebrated bands The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie. Both groups are set to honor the 20th anniversaries of their influential albums, 'Give Up' and 'Transatlanticism' respectively, by performing them in their entireties. The event promises an extra dose of nostalgia for fans who have followed the bands over the decades. The acclaimed French indie pop band Phoenix are also a marquee name, taking their place alongside The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie as headline acts.

A Roster of Diverse Acts

Other prominent acts to grace the stage include The War on Drugs, Miike Snow, Passion Pit, Alvvays, Two Door Cinema Club, Phantogram, Metric, Gossip, Tegan and Sara, Washed Out, and several more, crafting a lineup that boasts an eclectic mix of genres and sounds. In addition, festival-goers will be treated to the groove-infused dance parties hosted by A Club Called Rhonda, a Los Angeles favorite.

Ticket sales begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 26, giving everyone ample opportunity to plan their festival experience.

In light of the meaningful anniversaries, The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie have expanded their respective tours, which included a notable three-night stint at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles the previous October. Ben Gibbard, who leads both bands, expressed excitement about headlining Just Like Heaven, anticipating the event to be a fantastic platform to celebrate with Los Angeles area fans.

The previous edition of the festival saw performances from Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MGMT, Future Islands, M83, and Empire of the Sun, among others, setting high expectations for this year's event to deliver another exceptional musical experience.
