Dylan, who is now 83 years old, typically uses his social media to update fans about his live concerts or share snippets of classic films. However, this unexpected clip of MGK performing an acoustic set with his band at Park Ave CDs sparked considerable excitement.

Interestingly, the post did not include any caption or context. MGK, elated by the mention, expressed his gratitude, calling it 'so cool' to receive such recognition from the music legend.

Many fans reacted joyfully to the post. Musician Mod Sun declared it 'the best thing that’s ever happened on the internet.' Meanwhile, one fan humorously speculated that Dylan might have mistaken MGK for actor Timothée Chalamet, suggesting that Dylan had the iPad again.

Adding to the fun, Pitchfork noted the chance that Chalamet might have introduced Dylan to MGK's music. Chalamet, who plays Dylan in the Oscar-nominated film A Complete Unknown, has previously imitated the rapper during skits on Saturday Night Live, notably dressing as pop singer Troye Sivan in 2023 and referring to himself as 'a moisturized Machine Gun Kelly.'

Dylan's social media activity has been notably more lively lately. Back in November, he praised Australian musician Nick Cave after watching him perform in Paris, highlighting Cave's song 'Joy.' In September, another post left fans perplexed when he wrote, 'Happy Birthday Mary Jo! See you in Frankfort,' which prompted many to wonder who Mary Jo was and what the Frankfurt visit referred to.

Chalamet, currently nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for his role in A Complete Unknown, will compete against actors such as Adrien Brody, Colman Domingo, and Ralph Fiennes.
