Lady Gaga Unleashes ‘The Beast’ With Her New Album, ‘Mayhem’

Published March 7, 2025

Lady Gaga has been actively promoting her new album, Mayhem, since October, kicking off the release with her first single, “Disease.” This followed her press activities for Joker: Folie À Deux. Since the album's rollout began, she has introduced another single titled “Abracadabra” and informed fans that her collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Die With A Smile,” is also featured in Mayhem.

A standout track from the album is the powerful song “The Beast.” While many of Gaga's songs are lively dance anthems, “The Beast” takes a different approach. It serves as a slower, intense call-to-action where she expresses a deep desire for her lover, urging them with lines like, “Turn on the music / Turn off the lights / I wanna feel the beast inside / I know you’re hungry, ready to bite / I wanna watch you turn tonight / I wanna feel the beast inside.”

In addition to her musical releases, Gaga is gearing up for her appearance on Saturday Night Live, which will air this weekend. As part of the promotional skit for the episode, she humorously showcased her talents at the piano, channeling the essence of Randy Newman. Through her witty and blunt observations about the SNL offices, she delivered some sharp commentary, making the promo both funny and engaging. Fans can enjoy her unique blend of musical and comedic talent on Saturday, March 8, along with her new song “The Beast.”

Mayhem is now available through Interscope Records, providing listeners with a fresh experience from one of pop music's most innovative artists.
