Madonna Hints at Music Comeback for 2025
Madonna, the legendary music artist, might be gearing up for a return to one of the most celebrated phases of her career. Known for her ability to transform her image and sound over the past five decades, Madonna's recent posts suggest that she is revisiting one of her peak periods.
Throughout her career, Madonna has enjoyed significant success, but the height of her album popularity occurred earlier on. Over the last 19 years, she has only released a few songs that reached number one in the UK charts.
Now, at 66 years old, fans are getting excited as Madonna shared news about collaborating with a longtime friend and music producer, Stuart Price, who was instrumental in creating one of her most iconic albums.
In an enthusiastic Instagram post, she said, ‘Working on new music with Stuart Price these past few months has been medicine for my SOUL. Songwriting and making music is the one area where I don’t need to ask anyone for their permission.. I’m so excited to share it with you. Who wants to hear new music in 2025! 🎄🎹🤶🏻’
Stuart Price played a crucial role in shaping the sound of Madonna’s 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor, which features memorable tracks such as ‘Hung Up’, ‘Sorry’, ‘Get Together’, and ‘Jump’.
This album remains a significant milestone in Madonna's discography, ranking as her sixth-highest-selling album. Much of it was even recorded at Price's home studio in London.
Critics have praised Confessions on a Dance Floor for its blend of 1970s disco, 1980s electropop, and 2000s club music, making it a standout release.
Upon its worldwide release, the album sold nearly four million copies in its first week, solidifying its status as one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century. It also spent two weeks at the top of the UK charts and remained in the top 100 for an astonishing 54 weeks.
The lead single, ‘Hung Up’, is one of Madonna's biggest hits, marking her 13th number-one single in the UK and also setting a record for spending 40 weeks in the Top 100.
Since Confessions on a Dance Floor, Madonna has released four more albums: Hard Candy (2008), MDNA (2012), Rebel Heart (2015), and Madame X (2019). While these albums have enjoyed some success, none have achieved the same level of acclaim or sales as her 2005 hit.
Despite this, Madonna has continued to release popular singles over the years, such as ‘Sorry’ (2006) and ‘4 Minutes’ (2008).
With the announcement of her collaboration with Stuart Price, fans are filled with excitement. Social media is buzzing with positive reactions to the news. One fan exclaimed, ‘OMG the Queen is back with the best!!! 😍😍😳🤯🤯😱😱😱😱🎶👑,’ while another noted her nostalgic outfit from the Confessions era, saying, ‘And she’s wearing the Confessions era cardigan 🙌🙌.’ The enthusiasm continued with comments like, ‘BEST NEWS EVER!!!!! 🥳 A reunion of greatness! This is the best “Holiday” gift ever! ❤️❤️❤️’
