Premio Lo Nuestro 2025: First Artists Announced for the Gala
Premio Lo Nuestro 2025 has announced the first round of artists who will be performing at this year's event. Among the stars lined up for the gala are Ángela Aguilar, Arthur Hanlon, Camilo, Carín León, Danny Ocean, Darell, Kapo, Natti Natasha, Yami Safdie, and Yotuel.
This prestigious celebration will take place in Miami and will be broadcast live on Univision, UNIMÁS, and ViX on Thursday, February 20th, starting at 7 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT. Carín León, who recently won a Grammy and leads the nominations with the most nods for Premio Lo Nuestro 2025, will also be a part of a heartfelt tribute to the acclaimed composer Manuel Alejandro, honored as the "Visionary of Lo Nuestro" by the event production.
Carín León, hailing from Hermosillo, Sonora, will compete in ten categories, including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for his hit "Primera Cita." He is also nominated for Collaboration of the Year (Crossover), Tropical Song of the Year, Male Artist of the Year - Mexican Music, and Album of the Year - Mexican Music, among others.
Additionally, the talented Becky G will make her presence felt as one of the most nominated artists, competing in categories such as Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Female Collaboration, as well as several others related to Mexican music.
Exciting Performances
The Colombian artist Camilo and Argentinian singer-songwriter Yami Safdie are set to make their television debut with the inspiring song "Querida Yo," a track that emphasizes empowerment and hope.
Meanwhile, Venezuelan singer Danny Ocean will present his hit "Vitamina" during the gala and will also perform his collaboration "Imagínate" with Colombian artist Kapo. Kapo is expected to showcase two of his new hits, "UWAIE" and "Ohnana."
Among the female acts, Ángela Aguilar will unveil her new song "Bala Perdida" and is nominated in eight categories. The Dominican sensation Natti Natasha is also slated to debut a track from her new bachata album, "Natti Natasha en Amargue," produced by Romeo Santos.
Special Appearances and Nominations
In addition to the previously mentioned artists, renowned American pianist Arthur Hanlon will grace the stage with two special performances, including the tropical song "Repetimos" alongside Yotuel and Darell.
Carín León shares the spotlight with other top nominees such as Shakira and Myke Towers, who each received nine nominations. Rounding out the contenders, Ángela Aguilar, Leonardo Aguilar, Emilia, and Grupo Frontera are among those with eight nominations. Artists like Anitta, Bad Bunny, Feid, and Karol G have seven nominations each.
This year’s theme, "Uniting Generations," will celebrate legendary songs that connect the past with the present and future of Latin music.
