Cyprus Jazz & World Music Showcase Set to Enliven Limassol Once Again

The vibrant city of Limassol is once again getting ready to host the immersive Cyprus Jazz & World Music Showcase. As the event marks its return, over 40 talented musicians across 12 diverse bands are set to grace the event, promising a spectacular two-day celebration of global rhythms and sounds. Taking place on December 8 and 9, the beloved musical fiesta will make its comeback at the Rialto Theatre, offering attendees an unforgettable cultural experience.

Global Beats at the Rialto Theatre

With a lineup that showcases both veteran groups and fresh acts, the event organized by the Department of Modern and Contemporary Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture and the Rialto Theatre itself, will serve as a stage for eight local bands to premiere their latest works. Another four ensembles will perform at the nearby Art Studio 55, bringing an expansive range of music to the audience.

International attention is key for this showcase, as foreign festival managers and music industry professionals have been invited to observe. The showcase's core objective is to open doors for Cypriot talents in the global arena, fostering artist exchange and collaboration opportunities.

This year's edition boasts esteemed guests like Alkis Zopoglou, Vangelis Aragiannis, and Giorgos Mitropoulos, alongside other prominent figures from the music world, further highlighting the event's significance in the international music scene.

The opening night is set to feature acts such as the Odysseas Toumazou Trio, Soulful Groove Collective, amongst others, with late-night performances spilling over to Art Studio 55. Similarly, the second day of the showcase will introduce audiences to the sounds of Kalesma, Sonica, and many more, concluding with vibrant side performances and open jam sessions.
