Billy Idol Announces Tour with Joan Jett

Published January 21, 2025

Billy Idol has officially announced a new tour, set to take place alongside rock icon Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. The announcement came on a Tuesday, revealing the exciting plans for their upcoming events.

The tour will span from April 30 to September 25 and will cover 30 cities across the United States and Canada. Among the notable stops is the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City, as well as the beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado and the Budweiser Stage in Toronto.

The final performance of the tour is scheduled for the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. At this show, $5 from each ticket purchased will be donated to the American Red Cross for their Southern California Wildfire Relief efforts. Idol has also pledged to match the amount raised through ticket sales, highlighting his commitment to helping those in need.

To promote the tour, Idol created a humorous video where he is humorously beset by lyrics from his own songs. Comedian Matt Rife makes an appearance saying lines like, "It's a nice day for a white mocha" and "More more more," toyed with various lyrics, creating a light-hearted take on the tour announcement.

In the video, Jett plays the role of Idol's therapist, while Idol's longtime bandmate Steve Stevens can be seen dining with him. Idol named the tour "It's a Nice Day To... Tour Again," a playful nod to his song "White Wedding," which also inspired the mocha quote.

Billy Idol was celebrated earlier this year with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, while Joan Jett toured with Alanis Morissette last year. The upcoming tour promises to be a thrilling collaboration between these two rock legends, bringing their timeless hits to fans across North America.
