Lady Gaga Announces Her New Album Mayhem Out on March 7

Thirteen-time Grammy winner Lady Gaga shared exciting news on Monday about her upcoming seventh studio album, Mayhem, set for release on March 7 through Interscope Records. The announcement followed a week of teasers on her website, including the launch of a new online store with merchandise celebrating the upcoming project.

Mayhem marks a return to Gaga's pop roots, exploring themes of chaos and transformation and celebrating the unifying and healing power of music. Gaga expressed that the album's creation represented her confrontation with her fears of revisiting the pop music that her early fans adored.

Gaga described her creative process as akin to “reassembling a shattered mirror,” stating that even imperfect pieces can create something beautiful and cohesive in a new way. The 14-track album features previously released songs "Disease" and "Die With a Smile." The project is executive-produced by Gaga alongside Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt, with contributions from notable producers including Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein.

The song "Disease" has received praise from critics, including The Independent and The Guardian, while the music video directed by Tanu Muino has been recognized as a standout of the year. Additionally, "Die With a Smile," featuring Bruno Mars, has achieved major success, currently topping the Billboard Hot 100 and setting records on Spotify.

Gaga plans to unveil the third single and its accompanying music video on February 2 during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The complete tracklist for Mayhem will be announced soon.

Pre-orders for Mayhem are available, and fans can watch the video for “Disease” below.
