Finneas Issues Warning to Fans After Grammys Loss: 'Be at Peace'

Published February 4, 2025

Finneas, the musician known for his collaboration with sister Billie Eilish, recently addressed fans after they both left the 2025 Grammy Awards without any wins. The sibling duo was nominated for their hit song "Birds of a Feather," competing for the prestigious award of Song of the Year.

Despite their significant recognition, the award ultimately went to Kendrick Lamar for his powerful diss track "Not Like Us." In addition to this loss, Billie Eilish faced disappointment in six other categories, which included high-profile nominations for Album of the Year and Record of the Year.

After the ceremony, Finneas took to Instagram to reflect on the event. The 27-year-old artist expressed his gratitude for the nominations, stating, "Great Grammys!!! So honored to have been nominated amongst so many amazing songs and albums." He emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, urging fans not to engage in conflict on social media, especially if they use photos of him or Billie as profile pictures.

He reiterated, "Be at peace! Congratulations to all!!" These comments underscore the spirit of camaraderie that Finneas wants to promote, even in the face of disappointment.

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and showcased numerous achievements by artists. Beyoncé had a standout night, winning three awards, including Album of the Year for her country project "Cowboy Carter." This victory solidified her status as the most nominated artist in Grammy history, amassing a total of 99 nominations during her illustrious career.

Kendrick Lamar's success was also notable, earning him five awards out of seven nominations, further highlighting his impact on the music industry. His acceptance speeches made reference to his hometown of Los Angeles, particularly the fire-affected areas of Altadena and Pacific Palisades.

Other noteworthy moments included The Beatles winning for Best Rock Performance with their song "Now and Then," which was completed using AI technology, and Chappell Roan's call for enhanced support for new artists in her Best New Artist acceptance speech.

Billie Eilish wasn't the only artist to experience notable snubs at this year's Grammys. Other well-known figures such as Taylor Swift, Post Malone, rising UK star RAYE, and Eminem all left empty-handed.
